The Conservation Scorecard for the 2007 Legislative Session is Here!
The Scorecard includes a detailed voting record of every state legislator on various environmental bills, including key issues such as the expansion and promotion of renewable energy, mercury pollution, and water conservation policies.
It highlights members of the Legislature who proved to be champions for conservation, as well as those who opposed sensible conservation policies.
For the first time ever, we score the Governor's performance this session. The Scorecard includes information about Governor Gibbons' record on global warming and renewable energy.

Nevada's 2005 Conservation Scorecard

As our state continues to grow, we must do a better job of holding our elected officials accountable for the decisions they make regarding our quality of life. The availability of clean and affordable drinking water, clean air to breathe and wild terrain vibrant with wildlife for hunting, fishing and hiking all contribute to our healthy economy. But all are at risk due to the pressures of unmanaged growth and unwillingness by many of our elected officials to tackle some of the tough natural resource issues facing our state.
The Nevada Conservation League uses this scorecard when deciding which candidates to endorse and help get elected to lead our state. Additional factors that are considered in the endorsement decision-making process include leadership in committee, behind-the-scenes activity or inactivity on important legislation, and a commitment to addressing conservation issues when the legislature is not in session.
